MEETING AT OAKHAM TREASURES ON 6TH JULY

The visit to Keith Sherrells' Oakham Treasures on Tuesday 6th July has now got added 'attractions'. The 12 girls who are doing the John O'Groats to Lands End challenge on their vintage tractors will reach Bristol on the afternoon of the 6th. They are to meet with Clic Sergeant at Cabot Circus shopping centre in the early afternoon. We have been in contact with them and are arranging for a few of the local tractor club members on their tractors to meet the girls and escort them from Bristol to Portbury so that they can call into Oakham Treasures at Portbury to meet us all. We are not yet quite sure what time they will arrive but it would be good if as many members as possible could go to the museum much earlier than usual time - say at least 5:30pm ish so that we can meet the girls as they intend to spend an hour or 2 with us...they are raising money for Breast Cancer, Clic Sargeant and Motor Neurone. They are then proceeding on to Bridgwater for their overnight stop.

9th February 2009 - Further apologies from the Webmaster

Other commitments have prevented me from keeping this site up to date as I would wish over the last few months. I am therefore delighted to be able to say that Sheila Chapman (who clearly has too little do) has agreed to share the chores of maintaining the site with me. I am sure that this will result in normal service being resumed as soon as possible!

9th February 2009 - Changes to website

I have removed the "flash" opening screen from the site - I discovered that it did not work if viewing the site with Firefox, which is becoming increasingly popular as a browser.
